Low minimum deposit forex brokers from USD 0 to USD 25

Low minimum deposit forex brokers start at USD 0 at HFM, FP Markets and Fusion Markets, then USD 5 at XM and Deriv and USD 10 at Pepperstone. Your payment route can still set a higher floor, and a very small balance limits what you can trade, so we show the real numbers.

Low minimum deposit forex brokers ranked

We ranked these brokers by listed entry cost, then checked the regulator behind each one and the trading cost after you start. A cheap entry means little if the account then charges you 2 pips on every trade.

Use the filters to reorder by cost or leverage. The minimums shown are each broker's listed floors, and the entity serving your country can set a different one. Check the figure again on the sign-up page.

List of forex brokers and their minimum deposit

This table lists entry cost beside EUR/USD cost, so you can see the full picture at a glance. Fusion Markets joins a USD 0 entry with the lowest all-in figure here at about 0.54 pips.

Multiply a pip figure by USD 0.10 for the cost of a 0.01 lot trade, which is the usual size on a small account. So a 1.0 pip spread costs you USD 0.10 per trade at that size, and 40 trades a month come to USD 4.

Who each low-deposit broker suits

These notes explain what each broker gives you for a small first deposit and where the catch sits. Always compare the account you would actually use, because some firms attach their lowest figure to a single account type.

HFM logo

HFM

MinimumUSD 0

HFM sets no broker minimum on its Cent, Zero and Premium accounts, though its card routes start at USD 5, USD 10 or USD 30 and bank transfers at USD 100. Cent is the sensible way to learn on real prices. Business terms restrict scalping and AI-assisted strategies.

Fusion Markets logo

Fusion Markets

MinimumUSD 0

Fusion Markets lists USD 0 and costs about 0.54 pips all-in, the lowest figure here. It holds ASIC licence 385620, and MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView all connect. Education stays basic, so it suits someone who already knows how to trade.

FP Markets logo

FP Markets

MinimumUSD 0

FP Markets lists USD 0, and its Raw ECN account costs about 0.9 pips all-in. MetaTrader tools are excellent, and it holds a Kenyan licence under 193. Skrill and bank wires are the confirmed routes, so check that your own method is available.

Exness logo

Exness

MinimumBy region

Exness says its Standard accounts have no set minimum beyond the first-time floor of your payment method. Pro, Zero and Raw Spread start from USD 200 depending on region. Its M-Pesa and mobile money pages make it a common choice in Africa.

XM logo

XM

MinimumUSD 5

XM lists USD 5 on its Standard and Ultra Low accounts, and USD 10,000 on Shares. Its live education rooms are among the best free training anywhere. Spreads on the default account average about 1.1 pips, so an active trader should compare carefully.

Deriv logo

Deriv

MinimumUSD 5

Deriv's payment table starts at USD 5 on M-Pesa and MTN routes, with instant processing shown on those rails. Its Volatility indices are synthetic products rather than real markets. All its licences are offshore, so keep your balance modest.

Pepperstone logo

Pepperstone

MinimumUSD 10

Pepperstone lists USD 10 and holds licences from ASIC, the FCA and Kenya's CMA, among others. Razor costs about 0.8 pips all-in, so it is the strongest mix of low entry and strong regulation here. Mobile money routes remain unconfirmed.

Capital.com logo

Capital.com

MinimumUSD 20

Capital.com lists USD 20 and charges about 0.7 pips on EUR/USD with no commission. It holds FCA reference 793714 and AFSL 513393. That is a clean setup for a first account, and its crypto list runs unusually deep for traders who want it.

Forex brokers with USD 1, USD 5 and USD 10 minimum deposits

USD 0 entries include HFM, Fusion Markets, FP Markets, CMC Markets, Saxo and XTB. Saxo and CMC Markets suit bigger balances despite that figure, so USD 0 says little about who the account is built for.

USD 5 entries include XM and Deriv. USD 10 entries include Pepperstone and Libertex, and USD 20 to USD 25 covers Capital.com, HYCM and Octa.

We found no broker here advertising a USD 1 account as such. Be careful with any firm promoting one, since a USD 1 balance cannot hold even 0.01 lots with a stop. HFM's zero floor lets you try a very small deposit, subject to your payment route.

Why your payment route sets the real minimum

A broker's listed figure is rarely the last word. HFM's bank transfers start at USD 100 even with no broker minimum, and its cards start from USD 5 upward. Exness ties its Standard floor directly to the payment method you choose.

Mobile money has its own limits too. Deriv's table shows MTN deposits from USD 5 to USD 150 and M-Pesa from USD 5 to USD 1,000.

Conversion costs bite hardest on small deposits. A 3% gap on USD 20 costs USD 0.60, equal to 6 pips on a 0.01 lot trade. Check the local currency amount you pay before you confirm, and compare it with our currency converter.

What a small balance can trade safely

Start with the 1% rule, which limits your loss on any trade to 1% of the balance. One pip on 0.01 lots of EUR/USD is worth about USD 0.10, and that sets the sums below.

At USD 10, a 1% limit is USD 0.10, which allows just a 1-pip stop. That is unworkable. At USD 100, you get a 10-pip stop. At USD 500, you get a 25-pip stop on 0.02 lots, and that starts to look like real trading.

Cent accounts ease this by quoting positions in smaller units, so one standard cent lot is worth USD 0.10 per pip. Our cent account guide covers the brokers that offer them.

Cheap entry versus cheap trading

A low minimum and low trading costs are separate things. XM's USD 5 entry leads to about 1.1 pips on the default account, while IC Markets asks for USD 200 and costs about 0.72 pips all-in.

At 0.01 lots, that 0.38 pip gap is worth just USD 0.04 per trade, so a beginner should pick on entry cost and learning tools. At 1 lot, the same gap is USD 3.80 per trade, and 50 trades a month bring it to USD 190.

Your position size tells you which number matters. Run your own figures through our pip calculator, then read our guide to low spread forex brokers once your size grows.

Low minimum deposit brokers with strong regulators

A low entry and a strong licence can come together. Pepperstone at USD 10, Capital.com at USD 20 and Fusion Markets at USD 0 all hold ASIC cover, and Pepperstone and Capital.com also hold FCA authorisation.

CMC Markets and XTB list USD 0 too, and each is publicly traded, though your local entity can set its own floor. IG lists GBP 1, one of the lowest figures from any large listed firm.

Your country decides which arm you reach. A trader in Nigeria or Ghana will usually land on an offshore or international entity even at a firm with strong licences elsewhere, so read the company name on your agreement.

Minimum deposit questions

Which forex brokers offer a USD 1 minimum deposit?

We found no broker here advertising a USD 1 account as such. HFM lists no broker minimum on three accounts, so a very small deposit is possible, subject to your payment route's own floor.

Which broker has a minimum deposit of USD 5?

XM lists USD 5 on Standard and Ultra Low accounts, and Deriv's payment table starts at USD 5 on routes such as M-Pesa and MTN. HFM's card routes also start from USD 5.

Is USD 500 enough to trade forex?

USD 500 is workable with proper risk control. A 1% limit gives USD 5 per trade, which fits 0.02 lots on a 25-pip stop on EUR/USD. Expect modest gains in dollar terms.

What is the minimum deposit at Exness?

Exness says Standard accounts have no set minimum beyond your payment method's floor, and Pro, Zero and Raw Spread start from USD 200 depending on region. See our Exness minimum deposit page.

Can I start forex with USD 10?

You can open an account at several brokers, but a 1% risk limit on USD 10 leaves room for almost nothing. Use it to learn the platform, and keep real risk for a larger balance.
